FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Key questions about product scope, data, AI analytics, Digital Twin, integration and deployment.

What equipment can NEXis be applied to?

NEXis is not limited to one equipment category. Scope is reviewed around the operational problem, available sensor/camera/PLC data and field conditions.

What sensors can be used?

Mechanical, thermal, electrical, process, motion and environmental sensor data can be combined according to the objective and failure mechanism.

How are Sensor AI and Vision AI different?

Sensor AI analyzes physical condition through signal data, while Vision AI analyzes visible conditions such as appearance, parts, gauges, indicators and process scenes.

Is Digital Twin mandatory?

No. It is useful where teams need to connect location, components, condition and AI events in a 3D equipment model.

Do existing PLC/SCADA/MES/CMMS systems need to be replaced?

No. NEXis first reviews what data and interfaces are available in the current environment.

Does AI run at the Edge or on a server?

The architecture can use Edge, Site Server, Central or Hybrid processing depending on data volume, latency and network policy.

What is the deployment process?

Define the equipment/problem → review data/network → define PoC scope → validate AI and operations → integrate dashboards/alerts/systems → expand.

How is AI performance validated?

Metrics depend on the task and include false positives/negatives, classification, trend stability, Vision AI performance, data quality, latency and operational stability.
